Opening of
We are all Astronauts - Universe Richard Buckminster Fuller reflected in contemporary art
at MARTa Herford, Germany. The exhibition is curated by Markus
Richter in cooperation with the MARTa team. It continues the artistic research on late
modern visionary architecture and urbanism, which we started in 2008 with
Megastructure Reloaded. Artists: Attila Csörgö, Björn Dahlem, José Dávila, Simon
Dybbroe Møller, Michel François, Franka Hörnschemeyer, Lucas Lenglet, David Maljkovic,
Hermann Maier Neustadt, N55, Olafur Eliasson, Riccardo Previdi, Tobias Putrih, Pedro Reyes,
Silke Riechert, Tomás Saraceno, Albrecht Schäfer, Kai Schiemenz, Kerstin Stoll, Ai Weiwei,
Tilman Wendland, and Beat Zoderer.

The Artistic Advisory Board of the Biennial for International Light Art has appointed
Markus Richter as curator of the biennial's 2nd edition, which will take place in 2012. The
Light Art Biennial was founded by Matthias Wagner K, who also curated the
first edition in 2010, and is planned to happen in alternating cities and regions in
North Rhine-Westphalia.

Sabrina van der Ley is appointed as director of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Oslo.
The Museum is part of the
National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design, Norway.
She will take up the position already in May this year.

Pedro Cabrita Reis' proposal for artist interventions at the new build metro
stations Donaumarina and Donaustadtbrücke in Vienna has been choosen for realization by a jury.
The execution is scheduled for October 2011 and will be permanent. The competition / discursive
procedure was curated by Markus Richter.
